Our approach

The Room Method, in four steps

We start every deck project with the room: who is in it, and what they need to believe.

Phase 01Read the room

A working session on the business, the audience and the decision you need.

Includes

  • Kickoff with both partners
  • Review of your deck and metrics
  • Who decides, who influences, who forwards
  • The one sentence the room should repeat

Phase 02Find the thread

We shape the story before anything is designed: the order, the tension and the proof behind each claim.

Includes

  • Positioning and messaging
  • Slide-by-slide storyline
  • Headlines that tell the story
  • Proof mapped to every claim

Phase 03Build the deck

Type, charts and imagery that read in seconds and look like you mean it.

Includes

  • Custom slides, no templates
  • Charts for your data
  • A presented and a send-ahead version
  • 3 revision rounds

Phase 04Rehearse and hand over

We rehearse it with you and hand over editable files, so you can present it without us.

Includes

  • Coaching call on delivery and Q&A
  • Files in Slides, PowerPoint, Keynote or Figma
  • Private Slack channel
  • Notes on keeping it current

What we build

Every deck a raise needs, from one story

Why us

Why founders hire us

We have sat where you sit

Gery raised $12M+ across two of his own startups and closed 100+ large deals. We build your deck the way we wanted ours built.

Story first, slides second

Every project starts with the narrative. We agree the storyline with you before any slide gets designed.

Fit check

Are we a good fit?

We're a strong fit if

  • B2B SaaS with product-market fit and paying customers
  • Raising pre-seed, seed or Series A in the next few months
  • Your traction is stronger than your deck shows
  • You want help with the story, as well as the slides

Probably not a fit if

  • You need a finished deck in 48 hours
  • You want investor introductions (we don’t sell them)
  • You want a template filled in with your logo
  • You are pre-product with no customers yet

Guide

What your pitch deck has to prove

The questions we make sure your deck answers, and the order we answer them in.

The slides investors expect

Most early-stage decks land between 10 and 15 slides. The names vary from deck to deck, but the questions don’t:

  1. Problem. Who has it, how often, and what it costs them today.
  2. Solution. What changes for the customer when you show up.
  3. Why now. The shift that makes this possible, or urgent, this year.
  4. Product. One screen that shows it working, instead of a feature list.
  5. Market. Who buys, how many of them there are, and how you reach them first.
  6. Traction. Revenue, growth, retention and the customers that prove it.
  7. Business model. How you make money and what a customer is worth.
  8. Go-to-market. How you win the next hundred customers.
  9. Competition. Why customers pick you, in their words.
  10. Team. Why these people, for this problem.
  11. The ask. How much, what it buys, and the milestones it gets you to.

Order is part of the argument

Lead with the most impressive thing about your company. If revenue growth is your strongest proof, it shouldn’t wait until slide nine. We often move traction forward and cut slides that only describe.

Seed and Series A decks are different

A seed deck sells a team, an insight and early signs of pull. A Series A deck has to show a repeatable way to win and keep customers: retention, sales efficiency, and a go-to-market that works without the founder in every deal.

Build two versions

The deck you present can be sparse, because you fill in the gaps. The deck you send ahead has to stand alone: it gets read without you and forwarded to partners you never met. We build both from the same story.

Common mistakes worth fixing

  • Headlines that label a slide (“Market”) instead of saying something (“Mid-market finance teams are switching now”)
  • Claims with no proof next to them
  • A market slide sized from the top down, with no path to the first customers
  • An ask with no milestones attached

If you want a second pair of eyes on yours, the free deck audit is the fastest way in.

FAQ

Pitch deck questions founders ask us

How much does a pitch deck design cost?

Our Pitch Deck Sprint is a fixed $6,900 for the narrative, 15 to 20 custom slides, editable files and a coaching call. If you already have a deck and want it reworked, The Refresher is $3,400. If you want us beside you through the raise, The Partnership starts at $12,900. For a second opinion first, the audit call is free.

How long does it take to make a pitch deck?

A Pitch Deck Sprint takes two to four weeks from kickoff to final files. Most of that time goes into the story; once the storyline is agreed, design moves quickly. If your raise starts sooner, tell us the date and we will tell you straight away whether it is realistic.

How many slides should a pitch deck have?

For a live pitch, 10 to 15 slides is a good default, with an appendix for detail. The send-ahead version can run a little longer because it has to explain itself. We would rather cut a slide than shrink the type to fit another one in.

Do you write the content, or only design the slides?

Both, and the writing comes first. We work out the positioning, the storyline and every headline with you, then design around it. You stay the expert on your business; we bring the outside eyes.

What is the difference between a pitch deck consultant and a pitch deck designer?

A designer makes the slides look good. A consultant helps you decide what to say and in what order. We do both, as operators who raised money and closed deals with our own decks, so the strategy and the design come from the same two people.

Which tools do you build pitch decks in?

Google Slides, PowerPoint, Keynote or Figma. You get editable source files at the end, so your team can keep the deck current between rounds.

Can you introduce us to investors?

No, we don’t sell introductions. In The Partnership we build a researched list of investors who fit your stage and sector, and help you prepare for those conversations.

Is a pitch deck agency worth it for a seed round?

If your round depends on a handful of meetings, the deck is the one thing every investor sees before and after you speak. If you are very early and the budget is tight, start with a free audit, and invest in a full sprint when the stakes are higher.
