Our approach

The Room Method, in four steps

We start every deck project with the room: who is in it, and what they need to believe.

Phase 01Read the room

A working session on the business, the audience and the decision you need.

Includes

  • Kickoff with both partners
  • Review of your deck and metrics
  • Who decides, who influences, who forwards
  • The one sentence the room should repeat

Phase 02Find the thread

We shape the story before anything is designed: the order, the tension and the proof behind each claim.

Includes

  • Positioning and messaging
  • Slide-by-slide storyline
  • Headlines that tell the story
  • Proof mapped to every claim

Phase 03Build the deck

Type, charts and imagery that read in seconds and look like you mean it.

Includes

  • Custom slides, no templates
  • Charts for your data
  • A presented and a send-ahead version
  • 3 revision rounds

Phase 04Rehearse and hand over

We rehearse it with you and hand over editable files, so you can present it without us.

Includes

  • Coaching call on delivery and Q&A
  • Files in Slides, PowerPoint, Keynote or Figma
  • Private Slack channel
  • Notes on keeping it current

What we build

One story for every stage of the deal

Why us

Why founders hire us

We have sat where you sit

Gery raised $12M+ across two of his own startups and closed 100+ large deals. We build your deck the way we wanted ours built.

Story first, slides second

Every project starts with the narrative. We agree the storyline with you before any slide gets designed.

Fit check

Are we a good fit?

We're a strong fit if

  • You sell B2B software to mid-market or enterprise buyers
  • Your product wins demos but deals stall later
  • You are moving upmarket or launching a new product line
  • Sales leadership can join two working sessions

Probably not a fit if

  • You need one slide refreshed for tomorrow
  • You want lead generation or outbound
  • Your sales motion is fully self-serve

Guide

What makes a sales deck close

Complex B2B deals are decided by people you rarely meet. This is the structure we use so the deck works for all of them.

The structure that works in complex sales

  1. The shift. What changed in the buyer’s world that makes the old way risky.
  2. The cost of doing nothing. What staying put costs them, in their numbers.
  3. The new way. The approach that wins now, before your product appears.
  4. How you deliver it. Your product as the way to get there, shown working.
  5. Proof. Customers like them, with outcomes they recognise.
  6. Rollout and risk. What implementation looks like and what could go wrong.
  7. Next step. Who does what next, and by when.

Design for two audiences

The deck you present and the deck that gets forwarded do different jobs. The first supports you in the room. The second has to make the case alone, to a CFO or a procurement lead who never saw the demo.

Write headlines that tell the story

Read only the slide titles from the first slide to the last. If they make the argument on their own, a busy executive will get it even if they skim the rest.

Give the champion the words

Your champion has to defend the purchase internally. The deck should answer the questions they will be asked: why change, why you, why now, and what it costs.

Common mistakes worth fixing

  • Opening with your company history instead of their problem
  • Logo walls with no outcomes attached
  • Pricing hidden until the end, with no value frame before it
  • One deck for every buyer, with no way to tailor the opening

FAQ

Sales deck questions we hear most

How much does sales deck design cost?

Our Sales Deck Sprint is a fixed $6,900 for the narrative, the presented deck, a forwardable leave-behind and a session with your team. Larger programmes with vertical versions and ongoing iteration fit The Partnership, from $12,900.

What should a B2B sales deck include?

The shift in the buyer’s world, the cost of doing nothing, your approach, proof from similar customers, how rollout works, and a clear next step. Company history and long feature lists belong in the appendix, if anywhere.

How long should a sales deck be?

For a first meeting, 10 to 12 slides is plenty, because the conversation matters more than the slides. The leave-behind can be longer since it has to answer questions on its own. We build a core deck plus an appendix your team can pull from.

What is the difference between a sales deck and a pitch deck?

A pitch deck asks investors to buy into your company. A sales deck asks a customer to change how they work. The audience, the proof and the ask are different, so we build them as separate stories even when they share slides.

Will our sales team actually use the new deck?

Yes, because the team is involved from the start. We talk to your reps, build the deck in the tool they use, and run a session on how to tell the story.

Can you work with our existing brand and templates?

Yes. We design inside your brand system, or extend it where it runs out, and hand over editable files in Google Slides, PowerPoint, Keynote or Figma.

Do you do outbound or lead generation?

No. We build the story and the materials your team sells with. Pipeline generation stays with your sales and marketing team.
